I don't believe his pastor has any bearing on his election bid if people remember they're two different people with different opinions.

It has hurt. I won't vote for Obama now. its clear to me that he's not actually being forthcoming in all his dealings. The Comments made by his pastor were clearly rascist and anti-american, the fact that obama has given this man money (22,000) last year to support this pastor so he can continue this hate speech gives me enough reason to withdraw my support. Whether he gave him money because he agrees with this rederick or gave it in poor judgement its enough to lose my vote. Hes been going to this church for 20 years. His kids were baptized by him and he was married by him. He also quotes his pastor hate speech in two of his books. When you quote someone its usually because you share the same points of view. Hillary should run with this.

I think this has definitely put a wrinkle in his candidacy. How could it not? Obama was promoting his relationship with his church up until this came out and now he's in a pickle about it. While I don't think Obama necessarily has the same opinions as the Pastor, it does lead to a lot of concern and speculation that will undoubtedly affect his chances. He obviuosly agrees with the Pastor on many issues too.

Oh no..not at all...I didn't vote for a saint..He's not perfect you know...But I have a good feeling about Obama..He has alot of stuff to clean up..I wish him the best of luck.

It seems he did go from smooth sailing to the perfect storm, if you will. The big challenges ahead for him are still the Tony Resco dealings, which he dealt with directly himself, and the upcoming debates. Senator Obama seems to get all flustered when he's off script and not using a teleprompter to read his pre-written speech. He will have some trouble debating Senator McCain for sure, but his 'hope' for winning in 2008 are not totally abolished. Just an opinion.

Yes. It has probably doomed it. Maybe we should send a donation to the church for his actions.
