  • Actually, this is a good question. In America, it really doesn't matter who the President is. There have been times when there virtually was no Chief Executive. In much of the world, the President actually runs the country. This is not true in America. No matter what your politics, you will be who you are. We don't have the political rioting in the United States that is seen elsewhere. Some people are misinformed about the US. In 1996, I was living in Indonesia. I overheard a travel agent tell a client that going to the States in early November was a dangerous thing because of all the political rioting (which was common for elections in Indonesia... I saw them myself). No matter who wins in November, America will be America.
  • The President represents the American people to the other leaders (and people) of the world. The majority of Americans chose this particular person over at least one rival candidate as best suited to lead and/or govern and/or manage and/or represent America from the Executive Branch.
  • I am not saying whether I love Hillary or not, but I would love to see a woman in the white house as commander in chief.
  • The current state of the United States is proof how much the presidency matters. We would not be in a senseless war right now if we had picked a different president in 2000. The subtle differences can really make a difference. I, personally, do not want another corporation owned president, which is why I am not voting for Hilary Clinton. (even though I'd love to see a female president)
  • It can mean a lot for people who have had their democratically elected governments overthrown on the orders of US presidents.
  • An extremely large amount. Everyone who knows anything about the modern world.
