  • The ethical thing to do would be to provide the consumer with all the information they are aware of. However, there is a point of common sense, such as the case where a woman sued McDonald's because her coffee burned her. Warning people of dangers that might not be associated with the product, yet have occurred, such as children dying by overturning TV cabinets, is reasonable. In some instances, the corporation was aware of serious risks, and did not disclose them until people were maimed or killed, and sued them.
