I KNOW that because the question is open forever somone else can come in and flag it, but wouldn't it be prudent to disable that flag from ever being used again? Then we wouldn't have to reargue the point? and they wouldn't have to take the time to figure out if the flag or argument were valid AGAIN? I just posted a feedback on a question that has apparently been flagged as nonsense twice. (See http://www.answerbag.com/a_view/2485303 ). Here's what I said: <begin feedback comment> I don't understand why a question or answer, once reinstated, can be flagged as nonsense again. OBVIOUSLY someone found it to be nonsense, but if others don't (and see the responses to the question to see those that do not), AND it's been reinstated, shouldn't that option be taken off the table? Maybe a different "flag" for the DB such as "Reinstated" which would NOT allow it to be flagged the same way again? I've seen WAY too many questions in the Bag that would qualify as nonsense to some, but would not to others. For example, those who believe AB should ONLY be used for educational purposes would think ANY question about what song was used in a commercial... questions about relationships, etc., to be nonsense. If you want AB to be a sociable answer site, where almost ANYTHING can be asked and answered, you should not allow questions or answers that have been reinstated to be flagged the same way again, by the same or any other person. This is just my opinion. Thanks for listening. <end feedback comment> What do you think?

I am not sure, but it seems pretty weak! I agree that the question was not nonsense, and was instead, rather clever!

It happened to me a few months ago. The moderating staff appeared to be approving every flag back then. When my question was re-instated, I received an email saying the nonsense flag was approved in error. So I guess the troll who has been following my activity just flagged it again and the moderators approved the flag again. I give up fighting. No fun getting upset about it anymore when there are so many glitches and other nonsense happening.

I have had a question flagged and reinstated after questioning it but to have it done twice does seem rather silly. Isn't that just a big waste of the admins time having to go through it all again? I would be interested to know if the same person could have flagged it again.

Sorry, meant to be a comment. I understand your point and I do think it should be immune to further flagging. Maybe in a future AB upgrade the staff could work on this. Right now, too many glitches to be concerned with.
