I definately believe in the power of prayer. And not necessiarily to god. Prayer doesnt have to be religious, it could be to a desceased loved one or just to a greater power that exists, that we dont really understand. I have a tattoo on my back that says 'faith' and although i am catholic, i didnt mean it in that context. I got it to remind myself to always have faith in something, god, yourself, in the people of this world. Whatever. But everyone needs to believe in sometimg and prayer is solace in this crazy world in which we live.

hi,i don;t have any gods,i've never said a pray.i believe the power,focus drive,will to over come,etc.is within every person,you just have to switch it on and believe in yourself.having said that some people need to pray and believe in outside forces,it's a big part in their lives....what ever floats your boat.we are all different...it would be a sad library if every book was the same...regards...tessa5

I believe it, but I dont always do it, but luckily my roomy thinks I need all the prayers she can rally. The prayer group is rallying in my bunk area so that they can try to exorcise the demons I sleep with in my bunk bed.... jokin about the demons

I'm not really a fan of prayer. Growing up I always see the same poor people just saying God will make things better and as long as they pray everything will be ok, but they never want to do anything physically to make themselves better. In my opinion, praying isn't any different from just saying you want things to be better in your head, the only difference is your hands are together and your eyes are closed, does that make a difference? As if so many people are praying, but if they don't do it the right way all their prayers wont be answered, or put on hold? Its just my opinion, but i think its just a illusion to give people hope.

A hundred helping hands do more than a thousand praying lips. If the pious put their lips where their hands are, the world would be far a superior place to live and there wouldn't be any need for prayer and make believe
