  • No you need a dual layer burning drive to burn dual layer dvds, just like you need a dvd burner to burn dvds, meaning you cant burn a dvd in a cd drive, its the same concept
  • You need a burner that can burn DVD's and has the special ability to burn Dual Layer. Such drives are cheap these days, one can buy one for around +/- $30 and upgrading or replacing your existing drive is a cinch. Just open the computer, unscrew the old one, unplug the old one, and then plug the new one in followed by the screws. After that your all set. Just be sure the power is off when you do any work on it.
