That it will crush all of mankinds kingdoms and feeble attempts at self rule. That it will usher in a period of endless peace under the "Prince of Peace", Jesus Christ, who will rule forever. This is one of my favorite scriptures.

in daniel 2:44 the bible explains the fate of the nations in the near future. God's kingdom or government is about to present itself very soon. when it does it is coming to first destroy all human governments that exist today. jesus christ told his followers to pray for his father's kingdom. it is the only hope we have for a secure future. gone will be all corrupt governments that promise much but deliver nothing. gone will be the ruler of this system of things that has manipulated all human government to his whim. (1 john 5:19) with him out of the way and God's government in place, mankind will finally enjoy true peace and security.
