How were you in Spelling Bee competitions?

I was in the school spelling bee once. I was so nervous, I misspelled my first word: hunger. H-U-N-G-A-R. I was so traumatized, I never did it again...

I was in two spelling bee competitions in elementary School. Both times I got second place.

I placed 5th in the county spelling bee in the 4th grade. I didn't retain much, though..LOL

For the last four years or so, I have been on my school team for the Great Grownup Spelling Bee for Palm Beach County, Florida. We have never won, but we always stay in enough rounds to be respectable. I used to love spelling bees in grade school, and this is a way of reliving the thrill of competition. There are plenty of practice quizzes to take online to help prepare.

In the county for two years and second in Tennessee for 2007. If the first place had been sick, I would have gone.
