Do your dashboard lights indicating you have new Answers or Comments ever give you false alarms? Mine light up every once in a while even when I don't have new answers/comments even after I force a page refresh...

i have received "false positives" before, though i think it only happens after i post something that fails to register on the profile page. like this for example, it may cause my dashboard to light up, but neglect to mention that i posted this answer. i think the internet monkeys are causing havoc again

Yes there is often a glitch where the feedback arrives after the light indicating it is there.

I have explained this to alot of people over the past few days. AB Has been having a lot of Glitches. I am sure they know about it. Hopefully it will be fixed soon

Yes... It appears they (and maybe the NEW flags) are on a delay. Give it a couple of moments and refresh again. They SHOULD go out.

Yep, and I have found all of my questions and comments in my profile lit up as new or un-read when I go to my profile several times. I know I have read them all before so I just click the "mark all as read" button and clear it.
