  • Yes. I have been to most of southern Europe ... I liked the Acropolis and the Colloseum.
  • I've not been to Greece, but I've been to Italy. Visited, Rome, Florence, Mantua, Ferrara, Naples, Capri, Sorrento, Amalfi coast....it was truly a "planes, trains and automobiles" trip with a group of travel agents..in 6 days! The most impressive was Pompeii...amazing how so much of that is intact after being buried by a volcano for so many centuries!
  • I was in Rome years back and loved every minute of it not only for the ruins but the friendly people/atmosphere and the food! We were visiting the Vatican one day not knowing it was some sort of holy day and Pope Paul VI was being carried through St. Peters and he looked me straight in the eye and nodded as he passed from about 10 feet away, my 3 years of boring Latin classes paid off that vacation, never been to Greece though!
  • Yes! I visited the ancient Greek ruins and the Roman Colisseum with my wife when we were on our honeymoon seven years ago. We spent two and half weeks in the sunny Mediterranean. I remember the trip with fond memories. The evenings were warm and breezy, skies were a beautiful clear deep azure blue above dark palm trees. You could see the white stucco houses of the Greek villages in the distance. It was very romantic. Rickster, three months later I found out my wife was pregnant with our first daughter (conceived in Greece). :)
