  • Holy Crap! That's just unbelieveable. I'm watchin' the news coverage on it right now. Whatta jackass.
  • It's an election year in that there are going to be elections, but not for the gubernatorial race in New York - that's not until 2010. I think Spitzer is a great guy, I admire the work he has done. But nobody is above the law, he should be face it. In New York the punishment is a $500 fine.
  • From what I've read so far, it was initially blown (no pun intended) out of proportion. He should face the fitting legal punishment. As to the political fallout, I'm guessing the conservatives will play it up as much as possible, and his political career may be over. I've heard he has done a lot of good, but this will be used against him for the rest of his life. As to the conservatives attacking him, they really need to clean up their own house before they attack.
  • Shouldnt Eliot & his wife volunteer publicly for testing for the Aids Virus ? What is it with people who never even consider disease and personaly safety before plunging into things. If they arnt able to be concerned about their own health. How can they have concern for the health of others ?
  • Whatta schmuck.
  • Don't care since I feel it's his business and I'm also not from New York, but I love the look on his wife's face in all the pictures. If I were him I'd sleep wearing a cup. ;)
  • We had this problem in the UK with Sylvia #######, she had a real big list of "customers". I don't think it got publised however. But this guy is really stupid for a "loss" of blood from his brain for 10 mins.
  • I like the fact that he was able to "haggle" on the price of the female companion that he selected. He is a true negotiator as far as I am concerned, should be running for President.
  • I think it's ironic that when he was Attorney General, he busted at least two similar prostitution rings. The fact that it's an election year has nothing to do with his being caught patronizing prostitutes and violating the same federal laws (money laundering and the Mann Act) that he proscuted others for violating. His "Mr. Clean" image will forever be tarnished.
  • I'm tired of hearing about it already. There's been nothing else on radio and local TV stations. The media is going to get some mileage out of these Clintonesque antics. But he's probably done nothing that most other politicos (and other people in high positions)have done. He was just unlucky to get caught. It hasn't changed his basic ability to act in a gubernatorial capacity, only if they force him to resign. To quote the bible "He who is without sin cast the first stone."
  • If he doesn't resign, he'll be impeached.
  • He just got caught doing what many other men do. Its life. Should he be punished? Yes, just like the average joe gets punished. His career and family like will ravel on its own.
  • Everyone is running around in ever-widening circles pretending to be holier-than-thou. Today is my 72nd birthday so I've lived a bit and seen a lot. Society is way overdue to face a few simple facts about what is pubicly (not privately) percieved to be "morality" about things like selling sex and using stimulants. It's a simple fact of life, if there weren't buyers there wouldn't be sellers. We should legalize the whole shebang then tax hell out of it all. That way we'd save untold millions (trillions?) use our enforcement people where they are really needed to fight crime, we'd quit making millionaires out of bad guys, our young girls wouldn't be tempted into prostitution to support their pimps who are the scum of the earth. Best of all we could wake up in the morning knowing we finally had a clear conscience about things. To close off I live in B.C. which is famous as the marijuana growing capital of North America and I've never touched the stuff. I know I'm dreaming but what the heck, it's my dream for a better world. TEDDY

  • I could care less what he does with his sex life and it's sad that this is all over the news at this time... I think the timing is suspect.. He had just introduced pro gay union legislation and planned to bring an abortion bill that would greatly strengthen the states abortion laws... To me this has smear campaign written all over it!
