Why do Catholics pray to the Saints when in reality, you should only pray to God, in Jesus' name?

When you say 'in reality', can you actually prove that you should only pray to god? No, you can't. So why not let the Catholics do what they want, and you stick to doing what you want. BTW I am not Catholic.
