You need to know 2 other things. 1)The total number of degrees in a triangle. 2)That the isoceles triangle is symmetrical. Draw a picture, and you should be able to figure out the other 2 angles.

OK so an Isosoles triangle the two angles on the bottom are the same and if you said Lets say Angle A is on the top, Angle B would be the left corner angle C the other corner. If Angle B is 70 then Angle C would also have to be 70. Those two angles add up to 140, 180-140= 40, so angle A is 40.
