  • NO, All the ones like that, its up to the person to tell you anyway with the prog, so if they read it and dont reply and dont want to let you know they wont send the reply.
  • I don't think so but my server allows a receipt function which tells you the other person has opened it. A lot of servers provide this function.
  • There are some email clients that can request a return message if the email is opened, and if a compatible email client is being used to read the message, you'll get a receipt. There's no guarantee that the right software will be used on both sides, however, so in effect there's no reliable way of getting a receipt. It's worth pointing out that even if you get a receipt, what it tells you is that the message was opened, not read. The email client can't tell if the person sitting in front of it opened the message and then went to make a cup of coffee and forgot about it, or decided to read it later on, or if they actually read it then and there.
  • Both my e-mail at work (Microsoft Outlook) and my Univ ersity e-mail have a feature built into Options where you can choose to be notified when the e-mail is opened. There is no guarantee that it was read, though, even if it is opened.
  • Further to what others have said, even if you request a receipt, the receiver of the mail will normally be told by his e-mail client that the sender has asked for a receipt to be sent and give him the opportunity to cancel sending it.
  • YES. There is. It's called SpyPig. Basically, you add a graphic to your outbound email and provided the recipient views their mail utilizing HTML, it will notify you when they have opened the email. It also shows you how MANY times they viewed it, up to 5x. • Nowadays almost every email service provider is blocking external links in emails, but not 100% links are blocked. You can also try this email tracking service, it's a good one. http://www.getnotify.com
