  • some of them do some dont care for example i look around and answer some when i have the chance but some people probably wont give a damn and just ask questions in order to get there quesitons answered
  • I don't know about everyone on AB, but my guidelines for answering a question involve several criteria. 1st, the question has to be about a topic I know the answer to. A few times I was wrong, so you don't always get them right. Good thing for the AB disclaimer. 2nd, the question has to have an answer that is a fact and not objective. I have answered questions that would be like, "Are pineapples tasty?", and any answer you give would be purely objective. It really doesn't help the person asking if they would like pineapples, so I try to avoid answering those questions. Usually you find these types of questions in the relationship categories, but there are many others. 3rd, the person posting a question has to make the question clear. I know that some people ask things to find an answer, and may not be knowledgeable of their topic, but when they completely lack the ability to convey any iota of what it is they are asking, it leaves everyone guessing and no one wants to leave an answer. An example would be, "i have a leash, how long should i make it".....who knows? 4th and finally, a question must be something I want to share my advice with the poster. Frankly, some questions would be better answered by going out in real life and talking to a real physical person than to be on AB and asking it. Keep in mind, that I am not saying that there is such a thing as a stupid question, but some things are better left for the individual to find out for themselves. I have not seen too much of this, but an example would be, "my stove is hot. should i touch it?" The obvious answer to this is no, unless you really enjoy pain, but I would never answer this and let the person try it for themselves. They will answer their own question very quickly without AB.
  • I do make a conscious effort to answer unanswered questions but there's a reason many of them are unanwered. I don't really understand some of them for one thing.
  • I prefer to answer unanswered questions. I normally don't answer questions with answers already attached to them.
