I heard that you really do have to pay first. But I find it sort of strange every couple they show from their television ads all look like brother and sister.

you know - they want money to let you in - then if you want to speak to someone they offer as a good match they want more money - bottom line you can put out 100.oo and in the end maybe the person you want to speak to is not interested and doesnt reply ....it really seems to be rather unethical - probably legal but not ethical in my book - giving some money seeks ok but that shpold be it for whatever period you are paying for - I hope people decide they wont go for this.

When I was single and still looking, I tried almost ALL of the various "dating services." e-Harmony was one of the worst. Not only did they not tell you ANYTHING until you paid, but they refused to allow you to even talk to anyone more than about ten years younger than you. I dropped them like a hot potato. The best of the lot, in my opinion, was Match.com ... a bit pricey, but well worth it.

Bwaa haa...Anybody that gets rejected by an online dating service (after having been rejected by every woman/man they met in real life) should commit suicide! How big a loser does anyone really have to be?

eHarmony lets you get through their questionairre and receive matches before you pay. You cannot see pictures or communicate with your matches until you pay. You are not "rejected," but there may be a very limited amount of matches depending on your answers and the criteria you select.
