25 pages, thesis for High School Senior Year
I have about 70,000 words on my 1980's sci fi 'novel'. I'm guessing the first draft is about 2/3 done. Sadly, I haven't done much with it since I got hooked into these answer boards about 2 YEARS ago.
*sigh* No self control at ALL...
A full length spec episode of the X-Files. I did have an agent pitch it for me, but alas I was not yet out of high school, had only ever written for a couple of semi-local tv dramas, and the long and short of it was Chris Carter never did offer me a spot on his writing team (I never expected it though -- I merely challenged myself to do that so at least I could say I tried!). I'm still pretty proud of the script though, for what it's worth. :P

Are essay to go into my assignment for a Business Studies project at school regarding setting up a restaurant business. It was roughly 6 pages long condensed.
A pseudo-essay. How is that? well. I was inspired, I was like I'm right now in fron of my computer, I was writting an entry for my hi5 and I got carried away. When I noticed it was the hell long, I pasted it in microsoft word, and kept writing. They were 19 pages, well, 18 and a half. The entry was mostly about infinite. About time, space, infinite, and a whole bunch of themes in which I wrote about the concept of infinity. I still have it but it's in spanish, 'cause I'm mexican. It's also pretty chaotic 'cause I've never done a complete cleanup and never cared abou it. I haven't even read it complete at once. I've just corrected a few lines, ortography, some gramatics, but the rest is chaotic and even contradictory.
15 pages about the history of baseball. Got an A+ on it.

Fancy word for "short novel"
by Lady Alathia of Vulcan on June 3rd, 2008
What was your novella about? Can we read it online somewhere?
by Wheat Bread on June 8th, 2008
Used to be able to... a friend of mine had it on his website... but the website has disappeared, the original text was on my parent's computer which my brother has since decimated, and the only print copy is taking up residence in a high-school friend's house... I hope.
It was a fantasy story, based on a D&D campaign I played for a while. I'm re-writing most of it from memory, and adding a "part two". Hopefully it'll actually be finished SOMEday. I'd kinda like to submit it to the Forgotten Realms folk.
by Lady Alathia of Vulcan on June 8th, 2008
D&D, those were the days. Half elven magicians and dwarf fighters and halfling thieves combatting kobolds, goblins, orcs or trolls, with maybe the odd silver dragon for kicks. Collecting hitpoints and experience points, and other booty. Did anyone ever care if they had a low charisma, except for palladins?
by Oor Galooly - on June 8th, 2008
I did! Gotta have good charisma to be a Ranger -- my favourite class!
by Lady Alathia of Vulcan on June 9th, 2008
Wow! What grade did you get?
by Arisztid on December 10th, 2008
Would have been a perfect score (the only one that year), but in all my writing of a mini-novel I forgot to write a five-page paper documenting my journey through the novel writing process. Oops. ^_^
by Lady Alathia of Vulcan on December 10th, 2008
Oops. :P
.
I still imagine that it was great. :D
by Arisztid on December 10th, 2008
Any chance of you publishing it online, so that we can take a look? Oohh see that has been dealt with in an earilier comment!
