Im getting my lip pierced and i was wondering if you can get it pierced with a little stud instead of a ring ... ( cause my mom doesnt want me to get a ring) THANKS :)

My sister got a stud when she got her lip pierced. But this is in the UK, I'd guess its about 90% gonna be the same...?

Yeah you can get a stud BUT because your lip may swell, (which is normal) they have to put in a longer stud in which sticks out and looks like an antenna on your face :) But if you can deal with that for about 2-3 weeks it should be a-okay

no good piercer will put a stud in your lip unless its a long barbell. you need room for the meds to get inside as well as leaving room for swelling that might occur. if a piercer will give you a stud, run fast.

You CAN but it is better to get a ring because it is easier to clean and easier to prevent infection. Most piercers use a captive bead ring so that you can rotate the piercing and clean it. I suggest getting the ring and waiting a bit before putting in the stud... your mom will be pissed but I bet she'd be happier if the piercing was safe.
