Help answer this question below.

I found 2 files that avg said were trojans - i managed to get rid of them, and it was a lot faster, but now its gone slow again. whats the best thing to search and destroy trojans? or anything like that.

    If System Restore is enabled, the trojan may be lurking in a saved system session. This is how they manage to come back. It's not a fault of AVG, it's a drawback of system restore.

    Do a search online on how to disable System Restore for the purposes of eradicating viruses, etc.

    I found it better to run your anti virus program in safe mode. although it may stop viruses. some do not delete all the way and rewrite themselves. make sure you dump all cache files and temp files and dump the trash bin after each scan with anti virus.

    you didn't say if you are running any spyware programs, AVG by itself isn't enough even though its a great program, here is a list of item for you to look though:

    when ur computer finds trojans/viruses and quarantines them delete them from quarantine then turn off system restore re: right click my computer icon-properties--system restore tab-click sys restore tab so its off then apply then reboot ut computer then when its donw starting up turn on system restore then ur computer wont remember that there was a virus- always good to do b4 installing a new/different anti virus .good place to get free fulll programs without all the aids is isohunt.com/ but u will need a program call bitlord to open the torrent
