I have a Trojan Horses. Is it common that Pop ups come up when I haven't a web browser open? Is it common that a web page will open itself? I use firefox now, but Internet Explorer opens itself. My pages are redirected. Thanks in Advance.

You're reading I found 2 files that avg said were trojans - i managed to get rid of them, and it was a lot faster, but now its gone slow again. whats the best thing to search and destroy trojans? or anything like that.

but when i do the same search that found the trojans in the first place, it finds nothing....but if/when it does, i'll know to disable it for future referance. thanks :-)

No worries. By the way, you can get a lot more insight as to what's running on your PC by analyzing the processes you see in Task Manager. It takes a bit of research, but you'll often see whether certain infections are indeed running on the computer still. If you download a utility like Process Explorer,
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sysinternals/Security/ProcessExplorer.mspx
you can even see what files the infection is dependant upon. It's not for the faint of heart, but if you're willing to learn and do your research (which it appears that you are), these things can illuminate a lot.
