Yes I have. My best friend's dad owned a body shop and he did good work.

yes I have, town we live in, hubby knows everone and trades work for work. knows one of the local bodyshop guys and I needed my 82 full size bronco painted, when he was done it looked so good people though it was from the 1990's because of the way it was painted, dark blue, with white, lots of metal flake. one a month I took it in and he touched up any nicks or scratchs for me. Just be sure when you pick out a body shop, ask around, find one that many people have use and like, check it out with the BBB, check for complaints. Look at some of the cars comeing out of the place this will tell if this is the place for you.

I have always painted my own.

Yes, we had a 78 Chevelle, my husband and I did the body work ourselves,and then we hired a professional to paint it. We had it painted a metallic green. It was such a beautiful colour, and he did an excellent job.
