Philly apparently made him a better offer. I personally think that's not a good reason, especially as Philly made a bigger offer to Randy Moss and he stayed with New England.

I think he needed a change of scenery. A lot of people switch employers yet remain doing the same job. Maybe he had friends on the Eagles. Maybe he got tired of little Bill. Maybe he wanted to be a bigger part of the defensive scheme and has the desire to coach. Only he really knows. He has how many rings? Maybe he just wants to play in a different system he feels more comfortable in.
