I have a couple of compost piles. Eventually they'll be used for the gardens.

Until we moved here just 4 years ago, I had compost bins that i used every year for 30 years. We used the compost to make our garden grow fabulously and without any extra fertilizers most years. It helped reduce the other kinds of manures around the place (it was a ranch) and reduced the yard trimmings to something that was useful. And if the chickens didn't want our kitchen garbage, we could dump it to the compost bin.

I do, but I still haven't used it! Hopeless - I haven't even got plot sorted out yet - ten years later and I'VE LOST THE PLOT!! haha :))
