The only evidence lacking would be the murder weapon and a great many cases are solved with the lack of a murder weapon...it's really one of many pieces of evidence that can be collected.
-
I would think not...unless your hair falls onto the person or something out of your control happens...i.e. a witness sees you. of course you would have to be sure the ice was strong, thick and sharp so it would def. not break and would kill them instead of just injuring them...if that happened you would have to resort to plan B which would be to just grab the d*** knife.

You would still have a hole in you where the icecicle entered and in whatever organ it penetrated, so there would be evidence of death by murder, but no evidence of the murder weapon.
-
Of course, the first thing that would be analyzed is the pucture wound and cuts that the oject would make, the water residues would be sought, because ice makes a pattern that steel would not or what ever oject. Yes there would be water residues

Someone tested this (not the actual murder of course - but the theory of it). I don't remember where, but I think the end results were that it would be impossible to get through the ribcage with an icecicle and, in any event, there would be DNA evidence. Sorry I can't remember what show that was on, but I think it was a real show (versus fiction/drama kind of thing).

Why not arrange for someone to stand under a *#*^load of falling icicles. It would increase your odds and no touching would be involved.........Just a thought, of course.
-
It has been done in movies, that is for sure. All that was at the crime scene was a small puddle of water.
-
well, there would be a dead body for a start.
