I lift weights every 2 - 3 days and exercise every other part of my body daily, but I also take a one-a-day vitamin pill for men daily. If I take 2 pills, will it help or hurt?

    The xtra vitamin pill, is not an upper or a downer. the human body only requires a certain amount of vitamins each day. a one a day vitamin is all you need.

    Taking additional vitamin pills can be dangerous to your health and costly.

    One is all you need.

    It's a common belief that if one is good, two must be better. Not always true.

    If your vitamin gives you the daily recommended allowance of vitamins and minerals, then you're body is getting what it needs (and from good nutrition). The body can actually have a difficult time metabolizing too much of a certain mineral and vitamin.

    It sounds like you're on the right path; focus on getting exercise, eating right and taking a vitamin. You should be fine.

    I would avoid synthetic vitamin pills all together. I recommend Juice Plus. There are other good ones that are made with fruits and vegetables, that's just the one I recommend and distribute. Check it out: http://www.newjuiceplus.com
