I don't play Dungeons & Dragons anymore, but I will dedicate my next World of Warcraft session to him. It's a bummer to hear that he died.

I will indeed. I recently got to know Gary a little bit on a web forum. Had he never picked up a set of funny-looking dice, he still would have been a great man. He had plenty to complain about, but he never did, and he never had an unkind word to say to or about anyone. I am glad I had the opportunity to converse with him and saddened that I will have to wait for the next life to meet him in person. Requiem æternam dona eis, Domine, et lux perpetua luceat eis.

Indeed - though it may be a while - haven't really played P&P games - mostly digital versions now. Without him i wouldn't enjoy the hobbies i have now. Godspeed Gary, thank you for filling my life with entertainment.

I have actually talked to Gary Gygax on several occasions. He was a bright, witty guy with a pretty good sense of humor. If he hadn't blazed a frontier of "funny looking dice", I wouldnt be as well read and intelligent as I am today. I no longer play PnP games because my area just doesn't have many groups, but everytime I pick up my Monster Manual I will remember that he was a pioneer. Any groups in my area give me a call. ---- Great Question MH

Would it disappoint you if I said no? I think he still had a lot of hit points left and his shields were still up.

I think it's a good idea, so I'm going to do it.
