Question

Help answer this question below.

I REALLY need a job and I handed out resumes this weekend but no one has called yet. It's been 3 days. Can anyone give me tips or help how to get a part time job. I'm 17 and I'll be 18 soon and I'd love to get some extra money for university.

Work at Publix Supermarkets. They have kiosks in the supermarket that you can apply. You can apply to be a cashier, bag boy, or arranging food.

Work at Wal-Mart stores. They also have kiosks that you can apply at.

Work at Target stores. They have kiosks that you can apply to.

See listings at the newspapers. Jobs are first come first served. There's a high demand for part-time jobs, especially in the summer and winter seasons. Try to go online to search for jobs in your area.

The amusement parks are not a bad option. check online to see if there are any amusement parks that you can work at. You should also consider camp counselors. They are needed.

McDonalds, Wendy's, and Burger King all have employment forms next to the cashier (or might be anywhere),or ask if they are hiring.

Work for yourself. Fill out online surveys and get money.

Dress appropriately - when applying for a job, dress to begin work right then. It shows you know what is appropriate to wear, and that you are anxious to be employed.

Hand out resumes, during normal business hours whenever possible. You are much likely to find someone who is a position to actually hire you, if go during the week, and between 9am and 5pm.

Remove any facial piercings that can be removed, or wear the smallest possible pieces of jewelry when inquiring on a job.

Do not speak in slang or ghetto talk - the person who interviews you is not "Dude".

Be sure to go to the University job center and apply for work there. The best place for students to work in where they attend classes.

Also visit the small businesses in your neighborhood. My Grandson was at the veterinarian office when he overheard that the desk clerk was leaving. He now has a part-time job there while he goes to college.

jobs at resturants are great part time jobs. You could try waiting tables, the money can be really good at the right place. I waited tables for a few years in a college town and made great money. Good Luck.

Your best bet is if you live near a mall go online and look up jobs for that mall.

i would suggest that instead of just applying online, you should go straight to the manager of the store and sell yourself (not in that way ! ) , be confident and show them an enthusiastic attitude..

The military is always on the lookout for talent, and they have a great educational system once you've served.
