Question

Help answer this question below.

I have a Honda Civic that overheats at random times, with/without using AC. When it overheats, I turn on the heater and only cool air comes out. The heater works fine, though, when engines not overheating. Replacing the thermostat didn't help. Any ideas?

Cool air at the heater generally means one of two things. No water in the cooling system, or severely plugged system. Assuming your coolant level is correct, try backflushing the system to remove dirt and blockage. This is simplest most basic place to start.
