I need clarification here first: Define "too long" for a work week. If you mean 40 hours, then this is absolutely NOT too long for a work week. I usually work MUCH longer (voluntarily) and no, I do not fall asleep at my desk.

While it is true that we work more hours and take FAR less vacation than many other countries, I wouldn't mind doing 45-50 hours a week... though I'd still want two days a week off. What desk? I work for a living!
