  • Type chocolate + Dog in your search box. You will find several sources that give a breakdown of the different types of chocolate and how they affect different sizes of dogs. They also give suggestions on what to do for your dog.
  • I would call the vet for advice. I have a lab that eats chocolate whenevr he finds it and luckily he has been fne, but I have a friend with a terrier that ate some Hershey kisses and was very ill.
  • That is a small dog. Is there anyway you can make a quick call to your vet??? I am worried. I think he/she would understand because your dog is young and small. Its better to be safe than sorry.
  • i'd just keep an eye on her.since she has thrown up since eating it she will more than likely be ok....just make sure she has plenty of water
  • No shitting (sorry for the language) around here. That is potentially toxic levels for a dog that size. Call an emergency vet in your area and ask for advice. If you love that dog, be prepared for a long night at the vet emergency room. If you need me to, give me a rough idea of where you live and I will track down an emergency vet for you and post it. The big thing is vomiting, if she goes lethargic, she is in trouble.
  • You should never give chocolate or ice cream to a dog.
  • Induce vomiting.I did the same when my dog swallowed three Advil.Don't use ipecac, hydrogen peroixide is safer, give about half a syrine every 10 minutes until vomiting occurs.Be ready to clean, they will vomit about 6 times once they start.
