You could have a skin infection or a bacteria buildup in the pores. Or just something you eat like garlic or curry, they can have a nasty effect on body odors as does alcohol and cigarettes.

Vagisel cream/foam is good for odors down there, and there's also feminine cleansing cloths/wipes you can use. It's normal for it to smell occasionally down there, I guess it depends what kind of smell and why. Some can be infections/conditions, sometimes it's just normal bacteria.

You may have a simultaneous yeast and bacterial infection without other symptoms. If only one is treated, it creates a ripe environment for the other. Insist on a test. In the meantime, try untreated (no bubble bath) baths instead of showers. You can also use a medication douche externally.
