How long b4 u can drink alcohol after having tongue pierced?coz the piercer said 3weeks but i think thats a bit extreme?!thanks x

I'd just take the piercers advice and go with what he/she said. Only because it's their profession and they are telling you this for a reason. You don't wanna start drinking too early and have it get all infected and nasty. Three weeks really isn't that long!

Since you are supposed to rinse with mouthwash after every meal, it does sound a bit long. I was under the impression that only excessive alcohol consumption was restricted. Alcohol can definitely slow down healing and inflame swelling. If you were advised to wait 3 weeks, then I would wait.

you can drink liquor after 30 minutes, but you cannot drink beer because the yeast will give you a yeast infection in your mouth.... NOT FUN

well i was told 48 hours after BUT spirits (vodka in paticular) was longer and you should wait untill fully healed, im sure you can wait just 3 weeks....no big deal

my piercer said that i could go home and get drunk on HARD LIQUOR tha tnight...just not beer...it will give u a yeast infection in ur tongue
