  • World Almanac.com is an interesting site. They offer a newsletter email that arrives on the first day of each month, with details and highlights about events that have happened in that month over the years. Their site is here: http://www.worldalmanac.com/ About.com has a variety of topics you can select from to receive a weekly newsletter. They cover politics, pets, women's issues, technology, even urban legends. Click here to visit their site: http://about.com/ Sign up to receive news alert emails from any of the network or local news stations. It's a great way to be kept up to the minute with current events as they happen. I personally prefer the cable news networks like CNN or Fox News, with MSNBC being my favorite. Topix.net allows people to post comments and share ideas regarding news stories or events. They also sections for states or cities, sports or entertainment, as well as personal issues or medical concerns. It can get very heated there, as people get all "outta whack" about differences of opinions. If you post there you'll know when someone responds afterwards when you return to the site, because the entries are tracked for you, so it's very easy to keep it going. Take a look around, their site is here: http://www.topix.net/ Have fun!
  • Answers.com It's a catchall site, and Wikipedia is one of the sites that participate.
