Find one thing you can do, one night a week that you can do alone. Bowling, an art class, volunteer... You'll have the change you need, an outside diversion, and something new to talk about when you get home.

At least once a month (preferably once a week, but that sometimes becomes a rut, too) have a date night. Rules for date night: trade off responsibility for planning the date, whoever plans it pays for it, the person who did not plan must go along a participate with a good attitude, the day of the week and time is the planner's choice, you cannot do anything you have done together before, and you cannot do anything that would endanger either of you. Have fun!!
