Plenty of times. It's sad when that happens. Or perhaps I give myself to much credit and the answer just sucked. Who knows?

Yes! And it's even worse when you spend so much time thinking and coming up with a good answer, and no one rewards you with a single point or even provides you with passing comment! Argh.

Yes, I tend to stay away from questions with more than 20 answers for this very reason - I take time on each answer, so I like them to be read by lots of people. I like answering questions with about 10 or less answers - that way the timing is right :)
