  • It's hard to say. I tend to feel as you do, but I have forgotten to pick my child up from child care. I usually did pick her that was her dad's job. On one occasion I was suppose to get her and when I got home I walked in at where she was and My husband says you were supose to get her. So I know what it is like to be distracted.
  • Anyone else?
  • Unlikely and improbable, but unfortunately not impossible.
  • There many better ways to kill your children and make it look like an accident. So I would say its an accident.
  • I guess you've never suffered from the sleep deprivation that comes with having a newborn. It's entirely possible. New parents are advised to clip a rattle or some other token to their keys or belt to remind them that the child is in the car.
  • They are probably the same ones that over medicate the kid to keep them "good". Most children are rarely quiet enough to forget. If anything get kind of paranoid if they are that quiet.
  • YES. I have done it. I have played any computer games after this. She is alright!
  • of course it's possible...so you think they are offing their children by intentionally leaving them in the car? I hope there is no one here that has done this because I can't image the struggle of living with this everyday...and to think there are people out there that believe it was done on purpose...because the child was unwanted...that would just add to the devastation..
  • correction on my anwser on this question-I have not played any computer games after this. By the way the only way I remembered was a girl scout I knew called up to see if I wanted some cookies.
  • You know at first I would say that it would be impossible to forget your child was in the back seat but then I guess I am assuming that these people were people like myself who would actually care for, raise and be a good parent to their children. But then I realized that any idiot can reproduce and it seems the majority of the most stupid people are the ones procreating the most...so I guess in the end yeah there probably ARE people that are freakin stupid enough to forget their kids were in the back seat.
  • Here comes a story: . Back in 1991 I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, I was as well as my husband was packing the car for our trip to Fla. to visit my parents. It was about 4:30AM the packing was completed we hopped in the van and off we went when I realized in horror I screamed "Holy Shit Ted we forget Kendra" we were 4 blocks away. I felt like total and utter crap but there was my baby girl sound asleep in her crib each believing the other had put her in the car. . Point being: It happens and it takes a long ass time to not only forgive yourself but in my case accept the fact that I am not perfect. I forgot my kid I don't give a hoots ass in hell if anyone buys/accepts that I honestly forgot, I know I down right forgot and that is so dishearting to a parent. So think before you cast an opinion cause unless you are PERFECT shit just happens....
  • Yes, it is possible. Many times because of stress or having your mind on something else, but also, as a teacher, I'm noticing a lot of kids have lost all their intelligence to drugs and they shouldn't be allowed to have kids. The way they act, they would be totally unaware of any responsibility. If that kid grows up, it would be by pure luck and the grace of God.
  • I think it is possible, all I can think about is how they feel when they walk to the car and see their child dead in the backseat. Can you imagine it. Only thinking of it makes my eyes go wet. This year a woman hit a 5 year old kid with her car and he got stuck underneath it. She drove for maybe 15 miles to her home and still did not notice. The next day before she went to work she saw there was a body under her car. That just sounds like true horror to me. I have a tough stomach and am not easily impressed but that just makes me want to throw up. Imagine that happens to your little boy or girl. I wouldn't know what to do.
  • Throw at a person in a day what people only a century ago didn't have to worry about in all of a week and you'll be surprised at what gets forgotten. Such is living the life of five people, as is now standard.
