Why is it that whenever I take out a used magazine out of my airsoft rifle, four bbs come out of the magazine well?

The bbs come out because the magazine is not empty.

the mouth of the magazine doesnt feed directly into the chamber. there is a 1/4-1/2in distance fed by a small tube. those bb's are in there, the spring cant push them all the way in. fire the gun a couple times upside down to clear it out. this is especially true for high-caps, since the loading tube goes the entire length of the magazine. (WARNING: doing this with a hop-up enabled gun will cause the rounds to curve down dramatically)
