  • Hi, the general rule of thumb is, depending on how many times a week you play, thats how many times in a year you should have your racquet strung. For example, if you play about 2-3 times a week, you should have your racquet strung every 2-3 months.
  • First of all, even though the racquet is not used, the strings do get old, especially if the racquet is not used over a period of months. You don't get the normal spring off the strings, you get more of a "thud" when you hit the ball. Throw in other factors like players leaving the racquet in their trunk, the strings get dried up. FIVE YEARS!!! Telling you right now, if you were to get that racquet strung, you would see a BIG difference.
