Push button or manual shift? There are a couple of vacuum switches that control the 4WD or if it's a push button it could be your switch. Vac switches are easy enough to change if you like to crawl around under the car. Let me know if you need the location of the vac switches, I have the Haynes motor manual for that year.

Its a push button, I'll double check the switch ... but I heard there's a module by the kick panel on the pass.side,could that be the problem (maybe :)) thx for your time
