    could be a short or the wire got to much resistance it causes the wire to heat up an burn into replace it with a new fuseable link.

    Maybe because it is an older car and it is an american car i have drove all over the place on the interstates and i have mostly seen american branded cars go out or become recalled more often than other imported cars i have noticed that.
