  • No i find them annoying
  • No. I think they are a waste of time and I get them through email all of the time. Honestly, I just delete them the moment I see that they are a chain letter.
  • They are personal scams and utter spam for your inbox.
  • NO! I' with Olero47 on this one.
  • When I was younger and I'd get them in the mail (way before computers and internet) I'd take random addresses from the phone book to make sure someone didn't send it back to me! Now, when I get them in email, I just delete them.
  • I don't even know what you mean by 'believing' in the concept of them... However, they achieve nothing and are frustrating. Especially the ones that say stupid things like "Send this to 5 people within the next 5 minutes or you'll never find true love!"... Honestly, people who forward them to me just get removed from my address books and blocked... I don't want to speak with such unbelievably dumb and annoying people...
  • I believe their annoying! Marketing firms hire specialized marketing firms to create chain letters that feed on patriotism, sympathy, guilt & religion. Using imagery and usually totally concocted stories of woe they ask the recipient to please send this on (if you love America, If you don't want a little girl to die, or if you're a "real" Christian). So people do and all these email address and any personal information is gathered and sold to the marketing firm who in turn sales it to corporations. These corporations then use this info for junk mail and other unsolicited crap. So if you're a real Christian American who doesn't want little Amy to die before she signs a petition to keep "In God we trust" on our currency and you want to use your first amendment rights to say no to junk mail then you should send this message of truth on to everyone you know!
