Yes, have a look at the link provided by "Phil in the Blank": http://www.adherents.com/Religions_By_Adherents.html But, there are way more atheists than that. Most Jains as well as Buddhists are atheists. Some Hindus are also atheists. This is because atheism is totally acceptable within Dharmic religions. Also, many many more are what you call "closet atheists".

That would be hard to really know for sure..some people believe that what they believe is personal so they would not tell you the truth in the first place! :)

Whatever faith you practice, 2/3 of the human population (about 4.3 billion) are atheists with regard to YOUR religion. And YOU are an atheist with regard to the thousands of other gods that humans all over the world have worshipped throughout the millennia. The "official" atheists simply add one more god to the "disbelieved" pile -- yours. Ruminate on that for a while, if you're up to the challenge...
