I definitely see it as a difference in opinion, and would be open to discuss it...who knows, after hearing their side I might have a totally different understanding

Engage in dialogue with that in mind.

It's a matter of seeing things differently, and for different reasons. People are different and think different things, it would be insane to take that personally as an attack on your character. Unfortunately, it probably happens that way more often than we realize in this crazy world.

I think it's a matter of seeing things differently and try to have a unheated dialogue.

It would depend on how they expressed their disagreement. If they seemed rational and calm and respectful then I take it as a matter of seeing things differently. But if they started childish name calling and telling me I am stupid for my opinion I would see it as an attack.

I LOVE a good debate! A friendly argument can provide hours of enjoyment among friends that enjoy such things. My friends and I (when we were younger) would go on for days over things we disagreed on and in the end... remained friends and got a good look at how we all thought about different things.

If they phrased their argument as a personal attack than personal attack otherwise i'd just enjoy the debate... in theory... but i'm more easily offended than i like to think.
