  • The first "U". I have NO tolerance for TXTspeak. WHY? - Because I know full well that anyone who knows TXTspeak has been in a country with a socialized school system since the age of five at the latest, and is fully versed in the proper makings of a sentence using English grammar.
  • In a text message I'll accept it as needed, I hate texting on phones, so I myself make it as fast as possible sometimes use txtspeak ONLY on phones. Online-I accept it in PMs or emails or in any of the games I play, in any FPS game 1337/txt speak is going to happen, it's that simple (even if it's just from the 11 year old punk who was just hit with puberty) it's best to ignore it. However if it's on a forum or site like AB, I'll snap straight off, there are places where 1337/txt speak is appropriate, I personally don't feel a place that prizes knowledge is one of them.
  • My niece told me she gets so used to doing it, she catches herself doing it in the wrong places, by habit.
  • I don't really mind it, and I try to ignore it even if I see it in a place where it probably shouldn't be. It's not my job to correct people, ya know? But, I do get a little annoyed when I see people really, really going out of their way to find ways to employ txt talk in ways that I never would have imagined. I mean, I can take it if I see people saying "u" instead of "you." That's fine. I become slightly more annoyed when I see "ur" for "your/you're." I begin to wonder if I'm dreaming if I see "ne1" for "anyone." My math teacher does that. Okay? My math teacher.
