I tell them I'm going to give them a kiss and a hug before bed and they (3 boys) will run to their beds and try to hide, so they pretty much have themselves tucked in before I get there! I don't know who enjoys the game more, I love to hear their giggles and they like to see if they can actually get out of a kiss!

Mine are 5, 2 and 1 so tucking in is a must, along with a routine which consists of: story time, rock-a-bye song, "Angel prayer", then we have to say "sleep tight don't let the bed bugs bite. See you later aligator, after while crocodile" and last but not least a kiss and hug from Mom&Dad. My 5 yr old just kept adding things to the routine...I know, I know..I'm a sucker at bed time=)

When my kids were small they were tucked into bed every night until they told me they were "too old for that anymore". I miss that!

When they're at a young age, you should tuck them in, but when they hit their 10 years of age or 11, you should start just saying good night, give them hugs and kisses and send them off. Also, stop holding their hands across the street at age 11. They know to look both ways and follow you!

The three younger ones (4, twin 7) we take to bed and have a story and tuck them in. My 14 year old gets herself to bed but i always go into her room once the younger kiddies are in bed and we can have a chat. I hate it when i tuck them in and she goes to bed on her own.. another thing.. EVERY NIGHT I TELL THEM I LOVE THEM! its the last thing they hear before they go to sleep :)

Most of the time i start to prepare them for bed at bath time we talk about life, sing etc. and i kiss them and hug them after they put on their pajamas and tell them to go to bed....and them after they are sleep i like to make sure they are snug tight with a blanket.my small kids are 2, 4, and 6.

My husband climbs in bed with one of our daughters and I with the other. We all say our prayers together- "Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep" and The Lord's Prayer. Then each night they take turns picking the lullaby for me to sing. We stay with them for a few minutes after the song and then give the hugs and kisses and say goodnight. It's the best to do our nightly routine as an entire family for as long as they'll let us do it- They're growing up too fast!!!

I read a bed time story to my 3 year old girl, tuck her in, give her a 3 minute back scratch and kiss her goodnight. I have an 8 year old boy, i snuggle into his bed and have a 10 minute chat about his day- find that this is a great opportunity to find out what has been happening at school . I give him a good night kiss and let him stay up to read for a while.

I give my son a hug and a kiss and tell him that I love him just like my mother did me. I dont actually put him in the bed and pull the covers over him unless he asks me to.

My kids get in the bed with us and we let the youngest read us a store. Afterwards they all kiss us good night and go to their rooms. Later we check on them on our way outside to sit on our porch to talk and drink tea, hot chocolate or wine.

i tuck my children into bed.that is a great bonding time for us.i read them a bedtime story and they tell me how much they love me.i wouldnt trade it for the world.it is a great way to end a day.

When my children were younger I always tucked them in at night. I would also read them a story and when they were old enough we would take turns reading. Sometimes we would just lay there and talk a while. It's a great way to keep communication open especially when u have busy days and not enough time to spend with your child(ren) otherwise.

I would never send my kids to bed without being there to tuck them and kiss and hug them. It is one of my favorite parts of the day and we often have some of our best conversations at that time. (My kids are 6&8)

I don't have kids but my mom and her mom my grandma used to rock me back and forth in the rocking chair sing songs till I fell asleep and put me into bed.Now I'm 189lbs lug 100lb ladders and wear 70lbs of structure gear to fires,I don't fit on there lap anymore.
