Democrats supported the KKK for a century and were the party that twice repealed the Republican sponsored 13th amendment, the party that voted to keep slavery, the party that demanded segregation, and the only party to elect KKK members to office. Funny how they are now electing a Black man out of a guilty conscience.
Republicans on the other hand fought for the 13th amendment and were founded on the principal that Black men should be free men and were willing to die to let it be that way in a time where it was not a popular idea.
