When I was growing up I was three blocks notrh of it. Less than a 5 minute drive. I made my parents VERY glad of the proximity often as a kid. I was always falling off bikes and out of trees. Now, I'm about 10-15 minutes away from the nearest hospital and about 20-25 minutes away from the nearest hospital that I would actually go to!

About 8 miles and it is a very long 8 miles when you are in an Ambulance going in under Blues and Sirens.

The closest hospital is quite far some distance. If I ever need medical attention and require to go to the hospital, it may take a while for the ambulance to drive up there.

Pretty far right now. Where the family is right now, just a few short miles almost straight down the road. Once upon a time I could run (ride my bike, mostly) to the hospital, stopping as a pizza joint for lunch, have some Frozen Custard afterwards, and end up finishing the trip through the zoo/park afterwards on my way to work as a volunteer at the hospital. I'm as close as a mile and a half straight down the road from work. And on surface ships, like an Aircraft Carrier, you cannot POSSIBLY be more than about 1100 feet from one end of the ship to another, so technically less than 1/4 mile. Submarines din't have a hospital, but we've a d*mned good Corpsman who can perform emergency surgery if required.

I can get to one hospital in less than a mile and another one in about 1 1/2 miles...there is another one being built about four miles from here as well.

You did not say, medical hospital, mental hospital. I live just around the corner from a rehabilitation hospital. So if I ever need to learn how to walk again, it would be easy to have hubby come and visit me.

Well I live about 1 mile away from the Cleveland Clinic, but those are just doctor offices and such, not exactly a hospital. But the closest one is only about two miles away, St. Johns Hospital. I live very close to one of the best hospital systems in the U.S. and some say even the World.

LOL, I am 1.45 away from a mental hospital! An actual hospital though is actually 2.75 miles away! So, if I am having a heart attack I can make it there in less than 5 minutes if I speed and run all red lights!!!
