Yes, but the governor of Michigan does not. I am a manager at a fast food restaurant that employees many teenagers and adults. Despite the fact that many of the teenagers work much harder than the adults, since everyone gets minimum wage, the teenagers make less money. We even had a teenager that was a trainer and had been working there for over a year who was making less than an adult who walked in off the streets.

It's a fine idea if you where forced to work for said employer but, in this country(USA) you are not forced to work for anyone. If you have a ability to sell your skills for a higher price than your counter part with the same skills, then all the power to you. Also if you do not like what you are being paid opposed to another employee you are free to leave. The freedom of choice is yours, the freedom to upgrade your skills is yours, the freedom to do nothing is yours and last but not least the freedom to form a union is yours. That said, it is the owner's of companies freedom of choice to either pay you for what you demand, move to another state or offshore as to save cost etc. This country (USA) is about freedom to pursue life, liberty and the pursuit of property(older version) or happiness. The constitution guarantees you nothing except for the government will not interfere with your life's ambitions.
