For me, the ones that are good looking but most importantly, comfortable.
I can't understand why people often wear some types of shoes, sacrificing comfort for looks or what's "in" at the moment.

Comfortable and durable ones. I don't care too much about the looks, I must be able to walk or run comfortably in them - so leather sneakers are very good.
