  • I would ask your doctor, but there a few things it could be... Do you have acid reflux? A change in diet can help, as can simple medication if eating healthier doesn't do it. Do you drink enough water throughout the day and evening? Not enough water can cause indigestion, so drink more water. Are you eating too late at night? If so, simply shift your eating schedule back a few hours. Drinking too much alcohol at night? Cut back because it agitates the stomach. Finally, try propping your head up when you sleep. I used to have acid problems when I got stressed, and I found that sleeping on a slight incline took care of it.
  • Is it your stomach? or further up in your chest / throat / esophagus? I think acid reflux is the most likely issue - and if it is as regular as you describe you should be taking an appropriate medication to avoid longer term damage to your esophagus.
