  • Yes, I think sooner than later. Within Cuba's maritime boundaries in the Gulf of Mexico, is a potential source of easily accessable and cheap oil that is needed to fuel the American economy. With the Castro brother aging, it is a matter of time before there is another change in the Communist regime on the Island. With them gone, I think the U.S. will somehow come to an agreement with the new masters of Cuba.

Finally it looks as if the influence of the Batista gang in Miami and the other thieves and riffraff who have fled Cuba is coming to an end. Americans for the most part don't like being held ransom by those people and their hatreds. 50 years and the dissidents have accomplished nothing. They would be best to stick to their dominoes and not try to influence foreign policy. The Obama government is committed to change and this is one place where change is definitely needed big time.
